Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers:

  • Remember, due to the custom nature of our swag, it ships separately. All swag is on track as listed on the registration page for each event.
  • There is a 30-day grace period after each event for you to finish your race and report your time. Each race page has specifics about when the deadlines are.
  • Medals do not ship until after you have reported your time and after the event. To report your time: go up to the menu on this page and click "report my time". Then follow the prompts. This video shows what it looks like.
  • You can double check your finish time is entered correctly on the results page for your race

  • Matt Schrader says:

Hello Holland, and Friends @ VRC. I’ve been trying to get into my profile for the last several minutes, and for some reason…I am no receiving an email or link to log in. Of course I haven’t done a virtual with you all since Smokey’s 75th, so do I have to start a new account for the new year turn over? Or is it maybe just the system? Just curious…because I always get that email within seconds. Thank You. :). Matt Schrader, [email address redacted]

    • Ryan Jenkins says:

Matt, are you still having trouble?

  • Peggy says:

Is it possible to do a past race? Just found out about the Sesame Street races and would love to do the past two as well.

    • Holland Newton says:

Just like traditional races, typically once races are over, there is not a way to go back and do them.

  • Kristin Rocheleau says:

Help? I registered for one of the Sesame Street races but I can’t remember which one or when I need to report my time by.

  • Stephanie Stewart says:

Please consider doing the rest of the Apollo missions 13-17. I have done all the Apollo runs and hoping to complete my t shirt collection

    • Holland Newton says:

Apollo 13 registration will be open by the end of February 2020 or so.

  • Betty says:

Is there Really not a Superb Owl this year??

    • Holland Newton says:

      There is not

  • Cathy says:

Hi. I’m just wondering if your virtual races were open for Canadian residents as well?

    • Ryan Jenkins says:

Occasionally yes but unfortunately our current set of events are US-only. Would you like to get on our email list to get a heads-up about other events in the future?

  • Rae Smith says:

How do I know if I am getting a medal?

    • Holland Newton says:

When you register, it will show what swag you’ve chosen. Your confirmation email will also list that information. Medals are sent to those that register for one and report their finish time by the deadline.

  • Alvin says:

    Good evening:

Will there be an Apollo 13 Virtual Race?

    • Holland Newton says:

Yes. Look for that registration to open by the end of February 2020.

  • Michael Hudlow says:

I have already signed up for the Grover race and I want to go back into the site and order more swag, but I cannot find the link to do that. Can you help me find it? Thanks

    • Holland Newton says:

Hi. Because of the different production timelines, there is not a way to edit an existing registration through your account. Please email us:

  • Patty says:

Do you have to run the whole
Distance at one time or cannot be split up over several days or weeks?

    • Holland Newton says:

You can do whatever works best for you.

  • Ann says:

I just registered for the Elmo Run and it had the bib option checked, but didn’t have a place for a bib number. It also did not let me click the t-shirt option or let me choose a size.

  • Cathy says:

What is the best app to track my walk time?

    • Holland Newton says:

You can use any means you prefer. You can use just a stopwatch if you want. Some popular apps are: Nike, MapMyRun, Strava, Runkeeper, etc.

  • Debi says:

What city is the run in?

    • Holland Newton says:

Our events don’t have an official location. You can do yours wherever you want!

  • Ryan Jenkins says:

Sorry Lisa, our license with Sesame Street is only valid in the US.

  • Ryan Jenkins says:

It varies from race to race and depends heavily on what swag you want to add on to your registration. When you start registering you’ll see a price at the bottom of the screen that changes as you add swag items.

  • Ryan Jenkins says:

Yes unfortunately our current selection of races is only available to US residents.
