When you report the completion of each milestone, your name goes into the waitlist to be sent the appropriate pin (and other items as needed). Your 1st shipment will also include your series ribbon. Your last shipment will also contain your official finisher medal. (The medal attaches to the series ribbon which contains 6 spots where you can place your pins.)
When pins will ship
Due to high demand, we have sold out of inventory several times. Everyone that registers and reports the completion of each milestone will get the associated pin and finisher medal in the anticipated timelines listed here:
Registered by 12/25/20: Pins for completed milestones will start to ship at the end of January
Registered by 1/3/21: Pins for completed milestones will start to ship in March
Registered after 1/3: Pins for completed milestones will start to ship by April
More info: Medals will start to ship to those that have completed all milestones in March 2021.
All swag ships separately. Shirts, Medals and Pins ship with a tracking email from support@virtualrunningclub.com. Bibs are sent first class with a stamp. Sometimes bibs are set aside as a bill or other mail. They are in a white envelope.
All items will ship according to the timelines listed for each item in this dropdown.
There are 2 ways to report your progress:
Using the Spark App
Note: The Spark app is a supplemental tool designed to help you log your miles as you go. It is free but not required.
By Web Form
The Spark Challenges app is the official way to track your progress in our challenges and report milestone completion.
If you're unable to use Spark you may use this alternate reporting form but it may cause a slight delay in processing your shipment.
The 100 mile challenge and the 500 mile challenge are completely separate challenges. If you wish to participate in both, you'll need to register for each one separately.
Nope. You can complete your distance however works best for you. Ideally you'd complete your distance under your own power, but do what's right for you.
Track of your distance in whatever way works best for you. Many people use their preferred GPS app and others use a notebook. Do what works best for you.
Our messages come from support@virtualrunningclub.com. Please add that to your safe list so you're sure to get all updates.
The 100 mile challenge milestones are: 15, 30, 50, 65, 80 & 100
The 500 miles challenge milestones are: 50, 100, 200, 300, 400 & 500
When a participant is added to your registration, their progress is tracked with yours, not individually.
If another participant wants to track their own progress they should register using their own email and phone number.
