Heart disease is the No. 1 killer of women and men. Luckily, you can prevent heart disease by following a heart-healthy lifestyle.

You don't have to start big. Little changes go a long way. Intermountain Healthcare and Virtual Running Club have teamed up to bring you this race to build awareness of heart disease and provide a way for you to take charge of your own heart health.

Part of following a heart-healthy lifestyle is by knowing your 'numbers' and striving to improve them when they're out of balance. Knowing and improving the following can help you stay ahead of heart disease:

  • Cholesterol
  • Weight
  • Blood Sugar
  • Blood Pressure

Getting and staying active along with healthy eating and avoiding smoking are also key attributes to strive for. Join us on Leap Day 2020 for this fun race that you can do anywhere you want!

NOTE: Because of Coronavirus, the production team has been put on a mandatory hold until it's deemed safe for workers and products. Because of this our medals are stuck in a production backlog and will not ship to us in time. Our current best guess is that medals will not ship until April.

Because of this delay, we have extended the race timeline so you can sign up and do your race through at least April 24. Shirts, bibs and stickers are not delayed and will be available until March 1, 2020.

IMPORTANT: MEDALS ARE DELAYEDBecause of Coronavirus, the production system was shut down temporarily. We expect medals to ship to us around April 30. Shipping channels are jammed with "essential" items getting priority. This may cause further delays, but we're working the best we can. Thanks for your patience!

Register by February 9, 2020 and your shirt and/or bib will arrive around February 28.
Register after February 9 and your shirt and/or bib will not ship until late March.

  • Totally was going to do this until I saw the cost. 🙁

    • Ryan Jenkins says:

Thanks for your feedback Tim. We’ve tried to structure the pricing so you can adjust the package to fit your particular needs. Keep in mind that a portion of the proceeds from these events gets passed through to the designated charity.

  • Tamara Van Dyne says:

Does the 5k have to be done in one day or can you break it up?

    • Ryan Jenkins says:

You can absolutely break it up. Do what’s right for YOU. Good to have you join us Tamara. 😀

    • Holland Newton says:

Awesome! We’re excited to have you 🙂

  • Vernette Sylvester says:

K would like to be in contact with someone, I am a marathoner n I am running for charity n would love to coordinate a virtual with you.

  • Hi, so as long as whatever I sign up for is completed and time sent in by 3.28 I’d be good? I’d still get my finishers medal?

    • Holland Newton says:

Yes – There’s a 30-day grace period for each event to report your finish time. If that can’t be done for whatever reason, reach out to us and we’ll do everything we can to get your medal to you!

  • Stephanie says:

When we report our time do we need to provide more information beyond saying we did it, like record of fitbit steps? Thanks,

    • Holland Newton says:

All that is needed is the finish time. Once that is entered, that is confirmation that you did your race – regardless of how long it took you. 18 minutes or 3 hours. It’s just about finishing 🙂

  • Carla Bolander-Mosley says:

I want to do this one with my daughters, do u need their email if we are only purchasing the medal and registering for the 5k?

  • Where do you report finish time? And do You need pictures with it, like i do have Strava. Or just report numbers?

    • Ryan Jenkins says:

No need for a photo. We trust you.

If you scroll to the top of the page you’ll see a link to “Report My Time”.

  • Where should i report my time? I don’t see where

  • Dalyn Baker says:

How do I submit my race time? I don’t see a link.

  • I posted my time before the date of the race. Does it still count?

  • How do we report our time? Finished it today.

  • Gail Baggs says:

I registered on January 14 and finished my 1/2 marathon on Feb. 2020:)

  • How do you turn in your time on here?

  • Is there a way to see the standings for the Love your heart race even though it isn’t finished yet

  • layelquinn Ferguson says:

Where can you see where you stack up against everyone else?

  • I signed up for the 10k. Can I switch to 5k

  • I just signed up today, lost a very dear old friend to heart disease this afternoon, my half will be ran in her honor. Any chance I can get the medal before reporting, I’d love to take a few finisher photos with the medal after completing.
